Bucks Bedrooms is a family-run furniture business specialising in bespoke fitted wardrobes, dressing rooms and bedroom furniture for homes across Buckinghamshire and the surrounding area.
Based in Ford, near Aylesbury, the business was established by experienced cabinetmaker Alan Cooper and is now proudly led by his son, Timothy Cooper.
This marks a new chapter for Bucks Bedrooms, while continuing the same focus on thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship and furniture made specifically for the homes and people it is created for.
For more than three decades, Alan Cooper has worked as a furniture designer and cabinetmaker, creating bespoke fitted and freestanding furniture for homes throughout Buckinghamshire and beyond.
His work has ranged from fitted wardrobes and kitchens to libraries, home offices, staircases and one-off pieces of furniture, with particular experience working in period properties and challenging spaces.
After establishing and developing Bucks Bedrooms, Alan has now passed the business on to Timothy, who is taking it forward as the next generation of the family business.
Timothy brings his own skills and approach to Bucks Bedrooms while continuing the values on which the business has been built: careful planning, personal service, quality materials and furniture designed to last.
Our main focus is bespoke bedroom and dressing room furniture, including:
Fitted wardrobes
Dressing rooms
Freestanding wardrobes
Chests of drawers
Bedroom storage
Window seats
Built-in media and storage units
Furniture designed for alcoves, sloping ceilings and other awkward spaces
Every project is individually designed around the room, your storage requirements and the style of your home.
Although bedrooms are our speciality, we may also undertake other fitted furniture projects where they are a good fit for our expertise.
One of the main advantages of bespoke furniture is the freedom to design around the space rather than trying to make standard furniture fit it.
We particularly enjoy finding practical solutions for rooms with unusual proportions, sloping ceilings, exposed beams, alcoves and other architectural features.
Whether your home is traditional or contemporary, the aim is always to create furniture that feels as though it belongs there.
Good furniture starts with good materials.
We carefully select materials, hardware and fittings according to the requirements of each project, balancing appearance, practicality and durability.
Depending on the design, this may include traditional hardware and construction details or modern fittings such as soft-close drawer runners and concealed mechanisms.
Where possible, materials are sourced responsibly, and waste is kept to a minimum throughout the design and manufacturing process.
We use 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to develop our bespoke furniture designs.
This allows us to carefully plan proportions, layouts and storage before manufacture begins, while also giving clients a clearer idea of how their finished furniture will look.
CAD drawings and illustrations can be shared throughout the design process, helping us refine the details together before the furniture is made.
Bucks Bedrooms is based near Aylesbury and primarily works within approximately a 25-mile radius of Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
Keeping the majority of our work local allows us to provide a personal service while also reducing unnecessary travel.
If you're planning bespoke wardrobes, a dressing room or fitted bedroom furniture for your home, we'd be pleased to hear from you.
