Bespoke Fitted Wardrobe Solution for Quirky Cottage Home in Bishopstone

Our client in Bishopstone approached us seeking a fitted wardrobe solution to address their storage needs in their charming cottage home. With a vision for a unique design featuring bespoke door sizes to maximise space utilisation and add visual interest, they required a mix of shelving and hanging options.

Opting for a brilliant white finish and traditional groove doors to complement the cottage's old-world charm, our client's preferences guided the project's aesthetic, resulting in a vernacular style suitable for bedrooms in country cottages with uneven slopes.

This unique custom-made wardrobe was crafted from poplar (tulipwood) with tongued and grooved doors. The curved and scribed frame was made to follow the walls accurately in this quirky cottage space.

The upper cupboard extends to the top of the vaulted ceiling for maximum storage capacity and the interior is fitted out with solid wood shelves, drawers, and rail-on wheels for added functionality.

We got great enjoyment from the creative process, particularly crafting the different-sized doors!
